The B8 chassis Audi RS4 and RS5 use an updated version of the familiar naturally aspirated Audi 4.2 V8. Just like previous versions of this engine, it requires some effort to really get the best from the engine when tuning.

Revo have concentrated on maximizing the overall performance potential of the 4.2 V8 while improving the in gear acceleration and responsiveness. Stage 1 also unlocks the true top speed of the B8 chassis by removing the speed limiter.

Audi also offer the option of a factory de-limit but this can only be specified when new. At around half the cost of the Audi upgrade, the Revo Stage 1 software represents far greater value. Revo Stage 1 can be loaded to the car at any point in its life and not only removes the speed limiter but also improves the overall driving experience too. This is achieved by careful alteration to the factory calibration. With an engine as already optimized from factory as this, unintelligent tuning can actually deliver negative results. Revo Stage 1 re-focuses the 4.2 V8 into a sharper performer and improves upon the factory package.
