You will find the 3.0 TFSI V6 EA839 engine nested in the Audi S4/5 B9 and SQ5. Developing around 354PS between 5400-6400rpm, and 500NM from 1370-4500rpm it has all the right ingredients, however as we know there is room for improvement. Unusually for a V6 it has a 90° block angle, rather than the more traditional 60°, with a balance shaft to compensate for the torque inertia and promote smooth running. Also, thanks to its aluminium construction it’s lighter than the previous 3.0 TFSI V6 variants.
Intensively tested and refined on our own in house S4 along alongside our Global Development Programme, throttle response has been dialled in to give the driver a deeper sense of connection and involvement with the car. Without compromising on the refinement of the driving experience, one of the main selling points of this engine and vehicle. Rather than being pulled, the hike in torque gives the feeling of a firm push from the bottom of your back, and it's addictive, the car now begs to be driven. Optimised power delivery and with much more torque at its disposal, you can now drop below 4000rpm and still pull hard out of any corner without hesitation.
Revo offers some of the most substantial performance increases on the market, however, only the driven know that peak figures form part of a much bigger picture and are never the sole focus during Revo’s development process; it’s all about the drive. Only Revo offers a perfect balance of performance, economy, and engine longevity.
Revo performance ECU Software gives you much more than just an increase in power and torque. A large part of development is based on driving scenarios and feedback; our calibration doesn’t just offer great dyno curves and peak power/torque figures but an exhilarating driving experience. Expect smooth and refined response at low RPM & partial throttle, with huge gains at wide-open throttle and throughout the whole rev range.
Only Revo operates a Global Development Programme through their network of over 400 Revo Authorised Dealers worldwide. Access to vehicles on this scale enables the calibration team to fine-tune products before release, testing products in a wide range of climates and conditions including altitude, fuel quality, humidity. This also allows Revo to test how Revo products perform in different driving scenarios and formed a vital part in the development of Performance ECU Software.
The Revo tuning philosophy ensures that impressive performance benefits are balanced with useable, reliable power delivery that enhances the way you can drive your vehicle. Development on the road and racetrack as well as testing in controlled dyno conditions gives you a clearer picture of the performance you can expect from Revo ECU Software. Testing in this way plays an important role in ensuring the highest quality products and delivering the driving experience expected.
Only Revo performance ECU Software maintains and enhances factory safety levels along with additional driving features. With the SPS Software Switch, you can even switch between three pre-set fuel quality modes depending on the fuel you use.

Peak gains are calculated by the difference in peak values (headline figures) of the stock run vs Revo tuned run. Maximum gains are calculated at a single point of the RPM range where the maximum improvements in performance can be seen. This metric gives a better understanding of the performance gains throughout the entire rev range, rather than solely focusing on the peak numbers.

For engine oil to work effectively and lubricate your engine it needs time to warm up. When you first start your car, the cold oil is at a higher viscosity and flows more slowly, limiting the protection it can give to engine components. As the engine temperature increases, so does the oil temperature. This thins the oil, enabling it to run more freely and better lubricate the moving parts of your engine. Cold Start Protection helps protect engine components by limiting RPM until the oil temperature reaches this optimum operating level.
Revo Temperature Protection is an additional safety feature that reduces overall load and RPM as the oil temperature passes a set limit. Exhaust gas temperatures (EGT) are also monitored, adapting the operating conditions (Air Fuel Ratio) to ensure they stay within safe parameters. If EGT's reach a set upper limit, then power is automatically reduced until the engine returns to a safe operating temperature. Additional changes to the calibration, including the after-run pump, are made to greater help control temperatures.
Using an SPS switch you can take advantage of the switch-ability of Revo software. The Patented OBD2 interface is the ultimate compliment to Revo performance software, giving you the ability to switch between stock mode and 3 fuel quality modes via the vehicle OBD port.
Simply select a program, plug in, wait a few seconds, remove the SPS device and start the car. It's simple and there's no fixed switch to install in the vehicle.
