Revo Performance ECU Software for the 2.5TFSI transforms how the car can be driven. Out of the box, the RS3 demands attention and respect, and rightly so. With 400PS and 480NM torque, an incredible 5 cylinder soundtrack, less weight than the previous model and impressive acceleration times, all the right ingredients are there.
Intensively tested and refined over twelve months, throttle response has been dialled in to give the driver a deeper sense of connection and involvement with the car, something the stock model seems to lack. Rather than being pulled, the hike in torque gives the feeling of a firm push from the bottom of your back, and it’s addictive. The car now begs to be driven hard, it’s now able to break traction in corners, and dares you to bury your right foot. Optimised power delivery and with much more torque at its disposal, you can now drop below 4000rpm and still pull hard out of any corner without hesitation.
Revo offers some of the most substantial performance increases on the market, however, only the driven know that peak figures form part of a much bigger picture and are never the sole focus during Revo’s development process; it’s all about the drive. Only Revo offers a perfect balance of performance, economy and engine longevity. With an intercooler, downpipe and air intake system, you can expect a completely different experience behind the wheel.
Revo performance ECU Software gives you much more than just an increase in power and torque. A large part of development is based on driving scenarios and feedback; our calibration doesn’t just offer great dyno curves and peak power/torque figures but an exhilarating driving experience. Expect smooth and refined response at low RPM & partial throttle, with huge gains at wide-open throttle and throughout the whole rev range. Whilst adding in lots of extra features such as temperature protection, left foot braking, extra exhaust acoustics and also fixing the "wastegate rattle".

Rather than simply removing the GPF, and therefore making vehicles illegal for road use, we have been monitoring the effects that running higher power has on them. Our Stage 2 GPF software retains the stock downpipe, factory catalytic convertor and GPF 3, although even with the stock exhaust the added enhanced overrun from our software gives a lot more exhaust acoustics.
Compared to the Pre GPF model (DAZA) the DNWA was always going to be slightly more restrictive, and therefore not produce as much power. However, in terms of performance the 0-60mph performance between the 2 variants, when both fitted with Revo Performance Packs, the results were very similar, within 0.1s difference. Even up to 150kph from launch both vehicles are evenly matched, however, the DNWA does starts to tail off at higher RPM, this can be seen from the dyno and performance data. But the overall driveability of the GPF equipped car does seem to be smoother and more refined, without compromising too much on the day to day performance.
All Revo Stage 2 GPF software is specifically designed for a Stock downpipe and GPF. Removal of these parts whilst running Revo software may result in running issues and an engine management warning light.
Only Revo operates a Global Development Programme through its network of over 400 Revo Authorised Dealers worldwide. Access to vehicles on this scale enables the calibration team to fine-tune products before release, testing products in a wide range of climates and conditions including altitude, fuel quality, humidity. This also allows Revo to test how Revo products perform in different driving scenarios and formed a vital part in the development of Performance ECU Software.
The Revo tuning philosophy ensures that impressive performance benefits are balanced with useable, reliable power delivery that enhances the way you can drive your vehicle. Development on the road and racetrack as well as testing in controlled dyno conditions gives you a clearer picture of the performance you can expect from Revo ECU Software. Testing in this way plays an important role in ensuring the highest quality products and delivering the driving experience expected.
For engine oil to work effectively and lubricate your engine it needs time to warm up. When you first start your car, the cold oil is at its thickest, producing higher oil pressure when pumped around the engine putting extra pressure on oil seals. As the engine temperature increases, so do oil temperature. This thins the oil, enabling it to run more freely and better lubricate the moving parts of your engine. Cold Start Display gives an advised maximum RPM limit as the oil reaches certain temperature points until over 65°C. Please note this isn't a physical limit within the software.
Revo Temperature Protection is an additional safety feature that reduces overall load as the oil temperature passes a set limit. Exhaust gas temperatures (EGT) are also monitored, adapting the operating conditions (Air Fuel Ratio) to ensure they stay within safe parameters. If EGT's reach a set upper limit, then power is automatically reduced until the engine returns to a safe operating temperature. Additional changes to the calibration, including the after-run pump, to greater help control temperatures.
The gauges on the virtual cockpit instrument cluster have been reconfigured to display a true representation of the increased performance and calibrated for the specific performance modes.
Left foot braking and unlocked top speed have been added to the Revo software. Allowing you to fully enjoy your vehicle to its full potential, something the driven demand.
Using an SPS switch you can take advantage of the switch-ability of Revo software. The Patented OBD2 interface is the ultimate compliment to Revo performance software, giving you the ability to switch between 3 fuel quality modes and a stock mode via the vehicle OBD port.
Simply select a program, plug in, wait a few seconds, remove the SPS device and start the car. It's simple and there's no fixed switch to install in the vehicle.
One of the biggest concerns of customers of the GPF models is that it limits the exhaust acoustics from the 5-cylinder engine, Revo software has been enhanced to help combat this. The Exhaust flaps now open earlier when under load in comfort mode, and Dynamic mode the exhaust flaps are open all the time. Overrun (Burbles) have been added and active when you put the gearbox into sport mode, along with more noise when stationary and free-revving in Neutral. Another concern was the "wastegate rattle" reported on startup from owners, again something we have addressed with our calibration.
