Although Revo offers some of the most substantial performance increases on the market, peak figures form part of a much bigger picture and are never the sole focus during development. Development and testing of Revo performance software are done in a number of territories around the world, taking into account variations in atmospheric conditions such as altitude and temperature. Many comparisons are made between a diesel engine and its petrol counterparts with the majority of reviews saying the petrol is the one to go for if you really want to enjoy your drive. Maybe that’s true in standard form but if you have our Stage1 software it’s a different story. The midrange punch lasts for longer, you don’t need to drop a gear or two to make the most of the engine but it can get fun if you do work the engine hard. We give this engine more than enough performance for you to have fun, retaining the stock refinement and maximised power delivery and efficiency.
This software covers vehicles with a 2.0TDI 190PS engine with EDC17 C74 ECU. Including VW Passat, Arteon, Tiguan, Audi A2, SEAT Ateca & Skoda Superb with the following engine codes: DDAA, DFHA, DFCA, DFHA.
Testing facilities at their UK Headquarters and US Development Facility, as well as a track office at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Revo is able to test their products extensively on and off track. Testing products in this way are paramount to ensuring that along with more useable power and torque comes refined drive-ability, something often overlooked.
Testing on a dyno will only ever tell part of the story. Revo believes in data-logging on the road and racetrack as well as testing in controlled dyno conditions, to give you a clearer picture of the performance you can expect.
