Stage 1
All Revo performance Software is designed to safely enhance the driveability of your vehicle, giving access to more power and torque throughout the rev-range while maintaining the extensive factory safety mechanisms. Although Revo offers some of the most substantial performance increases on the market, peak figures form part of a much bigger picture and are never the sole focus during development. Revo Software offers a perfect balance of performance, economy, longevity and safety.
The 2.0L Common Rail (CR)85 is a factory detuned CR140 engine, meaning it has a huge amount of potential. Revo Stage 1 software is designed to work with a standard T5, offering additional performance and useable power without sacrificing any of the smoothness or economy of the engine. You'll find driving your T5 becomes effortless in day-to-day conditions compared to stock, and a whole lot more punch when driven aggressively.
The increases in torque throughout the rev-range give immense flexibility in any gear, and the engine revs out to redline much more enthusiastically than stock. The enhanced delivery of power achieved by the Revo software calibrators means that fuel economy remains unaffected, with some customers noting up to a 10% improvement in fuel economy as the engine no longer has to work as hard in each gear; this can vary depending on driving style.
The 2.0 common rail diesel engine was inserted into the T5 in 2010 and is altogether a smoother and more efficient engine than the previous 1.9 and 2.5 diesels. With the age and mileage of the components on the vehicle increasing, we decided to reinvest months of research and development into re-calibrating the previous tuning to refine the way the power and torque are delivered.
The revised software offers smoother power and torque delivery, with more usable power through the whole rev-range. Advanced Torque Management now produces a smoother torque delivery from 1500 to 2250 RPM to avoid torque judder through the transmission, and has been limited to 360 Nm at the top end. This doesn’t mean the vehicle is slower or less fun to drive, in fact, the opposite, the months of calibration have lead to the 180bhp map being able to sustain 360Nm of torque from 2500 to 3500 RPM.
The T5 Transporter often plays a dynamic role, being used in both commercial and personal scenarios. We were keen to offer the same flexibility in our software; you have the choice of two power outputs; a more conservative 140BHP/310NM option or a higher-powered 180BHP/360NM option.
Revo software is unique in that it is switchable, if you would benefit from having access to both of these power options then you can purchase our SPS (Serial Port Switch). This switch gives you the ability to choose which of the two options you require by simply plugging into your OBDII port, and also gives you access to an Anti-theft mode included in the software.
